But I'll go along, if only to mention that if you'd have gone much lower he might have thought you were trying to rip him off, and anything much higher might have raised suspicions as to your intent.

Nailed it.  That is exactly the number I was trying to hit, it just turns out I should have been hitting was maybe lower.

I texted Rick, "I think I over paid by 40".  He asked what the damage was, and i said "40".  ::)

Great story, love it.  I make the stickers for the white walls if you need a set.  That thing will look like new when you're done with it.

Rick will get in touch with you later for the handle and stickers.

Now, when will you be fabbing twist pans?

From an old post, a buddy I got over here from Smoke Ring, Chris (Jaronimo), the guy with the wild built in pizza oven.....

So Chris,
How many hours do you think it takes to do something like an ash pan?
It would be cool to have a brand new, old pan..
Do the edges really need to be bead rolled?
AJ

Probably not that long.  20 minutes to cut the circle, leg holes, and smooth the rough edges. 20 minutes to roll it on the wheel.  20 minutes to bead roll it.  With a thin gauge aluminum it is actually pretty easy.

I will see if I can find some aluminum sheet and shape one up.  I know the one on my 35 year old redhead is looking pretty well worn.  I will post some pics.  probably won't be for a couple of weeks.  Trying to get my kitchen finished and the wife will kill me if I start another project before hers is done.
