Title: Interest in WKC branded wooden handles?
Post by: Troy on February 20, 2014, 05:43:22 PM
Just feeling out the market. Brian and I have been discussing offering some WKC branded handles as a means of supporting the ever-growing website.

Would you guys be interested in WKC wooden handles? Would you still want them to say Weber as well?
other thoughts?

I think that would be a great idea ! Would like to see ideas on both ways.( with and without the WEBER) I think with just the WKC would look great ! I would buy some more. Not that I need more just yet...lol.

Oh sure....

I just placed an order with Brian a couples days ago for a small gaggle of handles and now you announce this?

Next I'm going to order one of these, then you're going to announce the new "naked lady" edition.  LOL :P

I like this idea. I would definitely order a few sets of these if they were available.

I'm in for a couple of sets however you want to play it (with or without Weber, etc).  I know you will come up with a great design.

Id love some WKC edition handles. Oh and the  Weber ones that say "The One. The Only." On them like in the early 80s.

I would buy t the least two sets. One for performer and one for the 70-74. Was planning in buying in the spring. When I can dig my way to my grill storage facility.

This is a great idea......here's some contribution.....
I'm getting the Japanese fruitless plum slabbed up.....just trying to figger the best way to get it out there....

It's not quite as interesting in the interior as I once thought, but still pretty nice....

I also have a gorgeous redwood tiger burl table that's gotten weatherbeaten on the outside & may not be able to be revived......torn on whether or not to carve it up, but it would be terrific.......

I would go for some WKC custom handles. I have a feeling there will be a few old (new to me) kettles in my future. :)

Don't need any new handles yet, but I'm hoping to get my hands on some more grills now that the weather is turning a bit nicer.  I would definitely buy from you.  The handles you made for my Smokey Joe Platinum and my 14" WSM are fantastic!

Would the WKC handles be made from the same wood and have the same finish as Brian's "standard" handles?  In other words, if someone orders a WKC handle for the top and 2 standard handles for the sides, would they look like a 3 piece set?

Some "minor" upgrades today.

Went from this
(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z304/Brickout/Weber/20140731_121249_zpstpsebmu7.jpg)

To this
(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z304/Brickout/Weber/20140731_121506_zpsyn3t5tpe.jpg)

And added this
(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z304/Brickout/Weber/20140731_121913_zpshhs4awgx.jpg)

Which allowed me to take this
(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z304/Brickout/Weber/20140731_122102_zpsxsipuiwf.jpg)

And change it to this
(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z304/Brickout/Weber/20140731_122217_zps2qglqk6a.jpg)

sorry, didn't mean to ignore you.

I can get handles to Germany - but you'll need to pay additional shipping.
