Title: Last score of 2013..
Post by: tattooedant on January 11, 2014, 10:15:38 AM
It was a balmy 57 degrees today, so I got some work done in garage this morning. Got around to taking some pics of stuff scored recently. Here's the "vintage" NIB Smokey Joe I picked up from ebay. Awesome condition, but what I didn't realize is how much higher it sits compared to a newer SJ. I took pics of it next to my gray SJG.

I like the extra height with the older one.

Very nice!  Old SJs are the coolest.  The just look right.  Proportions are spot on.  Taller, smaller vents.  A twist pan would have been awesome on these.

Congratulations on the sweet score!! That's my favorite leg design on the SJs. Incidentally an 18 twisty ash pan WILL FIT this era of SJ. I use one on my '83 daisy wheeler...
