This is in my friend's yard up in Northern AZ. I offered to take it off of his hands, but "NO DICE"!
So I ordered him a new handle from Brian, and made him promise to get it in the shed before the snow hits! :))
You told him it was rare, didn't you? Nice grill though, maybe he'll let you cook on it one day.
Maybe we can all wear him down one at a time. Who's gonna ask next? LOL

Tell him it's assembled all caddywampus and you'll fix that for him... At your place... Over the next 18 months... For free...
Is that a thumbscrew?
Wow....that would clean up nicely. Looks like a deeper red, almost plum like, than others from that era. Doesnt seem like he would care that much for it since it is left uncovered in the dirt/pine needles.
Northern AZ...snow...huh?!?

Yes, snow. :))
Maybe not Northern Plains stuff, but in a week or so this big kettle will probably be completely buried.
This area is at nearly 8000' of elevation and once the snow comes it sticks around. This community is also right near the edge of the Mogollon Rim, a nifty little topographic feature. The experts tell us that is why there is so much precipitation here and not in the town 30 miles down the highway.
Not at all like my place down in the desert!;)
It shouldn't have thumbscrews....It's a Pat Pend
JC, whatever you do, do NOT give me the coordinates of this grill..... It will be gone....
WOW! Flat top 26 with Metal wheels? How often does he use it? Do you have a OTG to trade him? Nice to know they are still out there.
Nice kettle. I guess a 26 would be grail for since don't have one. Snow on no Arizona. That's why they have 2.ski resort down there . Starting to snow here tonight .

Wow. What a beauty.
Classy move with the zavod handle, too. Keep that kettle karma flowing, and it may just come back to you.
