Scored this red ss today. It is missing the tank and one touch system. Oddly the ash ring is firmly attached. They must have just snapped the fins off. Hopefully I can save the mounting bar. It needs a good deep cleaning. This was the CL pic. I'll add my own when I get a chance to clean it up.

Congrats, Ted! I know you've been waiting a long time for this one.
Ill second what Mike said. I know you've been looking for one. Congrats!
Sa-weet! These clean up really nice and can't wait to see yours.
That is a very nice.
Nice score ted!
Nice! If I wasn't so happy with my black SS, I'd be looking for a red one like that. I like the fade paint job.
Thanks guys! It's the second one I found but sadly the first one was so rough I couldn't salvage much.
This frame is rock solid. Only rust was on the top cross members and a little on the bottom sides of the bottom supports. I didn't have time to really clean it well. It gets dark fast these day. More pics
Some one thought it was great storage for paint cans.

Very Cool! With great help like that you should be done in no time!
Great score ted!
Very nice find Ted! I know you've been wanting one and it's in a good home for sure!
Very nice Ted! That will take you know time to make it a cooker by the weekend.
Doesn't look like the rust is past the point-of-no-return. My bluey was like that also. After a wire wheel in the drill & dremel, some primer, and gloss black paint --- I couldn't be happier with mine. Looking forward to more restoration pics!
Looks pretty good except the frame. I am sure u will have it up and running soon.
Thanks for the pics. The kettle looks like it's in great shape. Good luck with the rest of the restoration.
Finally got around to finishing the rehab. Been really busy lately with starting a new job and family. Big thanks to Brian (zavo) for the 7409 cleaning system that he threw in on a trade that didn't include it. He sent it out of the goodness of his grill fella heart.

Undecided whether to use this handle instead. Won't match the table but sure is a cool handle.

Nice job on the clean up, it looks great!!!
That grill came out awesome. A thing of beauty.
And Zavod is like the lion from the Wizard of Oz.. Err wait, the lion needed a heart, right?
He's more like Dorothy... Yeah... Dorothy... 8)
Great Restore! It now has many years to go. Heyjude, Zav is a Lion with a Kitty inside. He does this Hobby justice and handles, better than OEM! He gives choices! Not the China made...Made in the USA, Chicago!
wow...you did an amazing job Ted!
Very very nice Ted. I love the Red.
looks fantastic
Good job Ted, it's a beaut.
