Got a sneak peek at Weber 2013.
Jumbo Joe is coming back.
The current Platinum is gone.
3 Performer's now. Newest look more like a mini performer with a small side shelf on one side.
All Spirits will have knobs in front now and some, folding side shelves.
Probably more but just a quick peek is all I got..........
Where did you see this?
Any new colors?

Target has the size incorrect, it's 18 inches.
WOOT 8)
I did a search on the Lowes site for Wber and around page five or six of the results you start getting items that haven't been reviewed yet like the Jumbo Joe. They also have black and green 22.5 Performers, didn't look that different except for a LCD timer where the gas assist controls would be. There's also a pizza stone insert for the gourmet grill set up.

I'm not really sure what to make of this thing? :-\
It looks like it's still Webers bastard child though. The SJP has always been the ugly brother hasn't it? ::) I hope they at least did away with the old SJP grate and will offer it in a couple different colors. :-[
Could it be possible that Weber made it even worse by making it a 19.75? I am actually laughing out loud! ;D
I am having difficulty looking at it any longer! :o
I think most people here are into the old school stuff. They don't buy at the hardware store or order grills on line. Some score a NIB but you can bet its not a 2013 model. 8)
It looks like a beefed up Smokey Joe Silver that has been flattened. Not a fan at first glance.

Sure looks to me like a European compact kettle, with different legs, ash catcher and front pull handle removed. At first glance I'm not a fan either, but I need to see one in person.

Is there a tamale pot big enough to mod it into a jumbo mini wsm? 8)
The lid looks to big for the bowl
I wonder if this means that Weber is going "Euro" for the handle styles next year as I have thought? BTW, not diggin' the chili on the new design, YET! but then again, I'm still mourning the loss of wooden handles. So beggars can't be choosers. The new SJP looks like they went from an oversized SJ Gold to Silver?

Definatly looks like the compact euro kettle on 'Joe legs. I do want to go see this one in person ASAP.

Hallelujah.
That thing is an abomination.

In my best Darth Vader voice: "NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
It's part of the new Mr. Potatohead line.
It's an 18 inch ( that's assumiing it's not really a 19.75) with a lid lock without the two side vents.
The handle on top doesn't come with the heat shield.
The bottom bowl is from an economy weber.
The legs are from an 18.5 wsm.
And the ash pan is from a regular 18.5.
They couldn't at least make a couple colors available?
I can't say I will never own one. It just might be less bulky than the old SJP, which would be a plus. The air flow will probably also be better. I just hope a regular grate fits this model.
I would buy a brick red one

I suppose I would too, but how 'bout a blue one!? ;)
Craig
Keep dreami'n guys! You better move to europe if you want another color. ::)
Duke, is there a "peeing in my Wheaties" emoticon!? 'Cause that's what your doing! ;D
Craig
Sorry, it's just the old anti color reflexes coming back. :-[
I really would buy a blue one. :'(

It's ok, Duke! ;) One of these days I'll break down and buy a black. I'm already dabbling in one with a SJS from '88. If i splurge on a full size, it'd have to have wood handles! ;) Preferably a 70s/80s kettle.
Craig
Brick red, blue and green are all available here in the US.
Brian
I really dont like it. It looks like the "compact" Euro design. I wonder how much space there will be between the coals and the cooking grate. The bowl just doesn't look deep enough. I'll pass. Ive been disappointed as of late with new designs from Weber from the new style Platinum (horrible and overpriced)...and discontinued thank god, to this new SJP. When is Weber going to come up with the next cool design and or upgrade?

AMEN! It looked like a Charbroil and a Weber got drunk and out came the 2010 Platinum.
Craig
Well I guess weber heard our cries and these are no longer available to us. :P Actually they must have sold out of them.
