Title: Marinated Gulf Snapper on the DR 22
Post by: bamakettles on May 11, 2026, 05:19:28 AM
We had a fun weekend visiting the Moms and cooking on this grill.  Steaks Saturday night and Gulf Snapper yesterday evening (from our grate friend @AZ2FL St. George Island FL).  After getting some inspiration from Michael Symon on his grilling / cooking show we decided to do a classic Italian marinade on the fish which included olive oil, zest and juice from one large lemon, fresh oregano, garlic, salt and pepper for about an hour before cooking directly over lump charcoal.  This was some tasty fish and I highly recommend the method.  Beaux had a piece of skin on salmon which is his favorite.

It's been a while since I've cooked on a 22" and the two cooks we did over the weekend were really fun on it.  I'm really pleased with the setup!

Cheers
