After my 1st outing I really wanted to see if I could replicate my previous Tri-Tip success.
The family says that I nailed it.
Tip on indirect. Changed up the veg this time.

Got the squash off and moved the Tip over.

After a 15 minute rest. (The juice went in to flavor the mushrooms, sorry @okiegirl, both me and my love them, S-i-L is on your side . . . )

Used my S-i-L's gasser again. But now that I think I have it timed out, I will be doing it on the OTP, and sharing with some friends in the Camperhood, next time Publix puts them go on sale.
Looks tasty and tender! Tri tip is one of my favorite cuts and a lot of fun to cook... and eat!
Agree with the family - that's perfect.
My daughter actually proposed doing a tri-tip next Thanksgiving. Last year I did a bone-in pork loin on the roti and smoked bone-in turkey breast. Gotta find if she's subbing the tri-tip on or simply adding to the holiday workload ! ! !
