Title: Woodard?
Post by: OkieGirl on February 24, 2025, 07:54:11 AM
I made a 500 mile round trip this weekend to pick up this patio cart in Texas.
I made the drive because, while I sometimes see these in my area, I never see this pattern.

I'm thinking this may be the Woodard Orleans pattern that was used on the Seville Chariot.
Can any of the Woodard pros here confirm this?

I sent an email to the company but I don't know how long it takes to get a reply.

I intend to use this to display some of my Smokey Joes. And in the unlikely event I ever get
a Chariot, the 2 carts will match. :D

I don't know anything about them but it sure looks to be in good condition. Will look good with some Smokey Joes displayed on it.

Thanks - it really is in good condition.
Now that we got our record-breaking cold spells out of the way, I look forward to getting out there to work on them before long.

Looks to be in great shape, congrats!  It looks Woodard to me, but I'm no pro at identifying a Woodard pattern.  The smokey joes will look great on it.

Thanks, Bama.

I heard back from Woodard - they confirmed it is theirs and is the Orleans pattern.
She didn't know when these were made but said the Orleans design was introduced in 1940.

Nice score @OkieGirl . That's a great Woodard cart in the Orleans pattern. The Orleans pattern (with the distinctive acorns) was used on the "Chariot Seville" that is som sought after by WKC members.

I have had great success with the Woodard Company in identifying pieces I believe they produced.

Thanks - yes and I would love to find a chariot! LOL

Woodard was very helpful and prompt, in my experience also. While looking into this I have come across an Orleans table and chairs much closer to home which I am now eyeballing. ::) I am afraid I may have gone down another rabbit hole!

I had seen that thread, in fact I got the Woodard contact info from your post there. Thanks for sharing that. ;D
I will post my cart there after I get a chance to clean it up.
