I've been checking on the weather channel coverage and it's pretty crazy how big this storm is. I'm south of Chicago and will be feeling the effects of the wind by 5 pm today.
Please let us know how you all do.

Talked to Robert today, everything is good at his place as well, he's only a few blocks from me and he's the one who updated me on our place.
Glad you all are doing well! My daughter in Augusta got hit with flooding, fence around property "took off" in a few places, back yard "barn" had a tree go through it and electric is out since 3am ET.
Finally, house didn't get touched but she said their grill was "smashed" by a tree and they needed a new one. I told her not much of a loss as it wasn't a Weber!!! LOL J/K
Thank god they are all safe and well.

Well, I had a bunch of pictures that I'd been sent, but I got some kind of Forbidden Error.
What they showed was what was going in Western NC/Eastern TN. On the NC/TN line, I-40 is washed out I-26 is underwater. Asheville underwater as well.
For us in NE Florida, it was mostly a wind event. I only got ½" of rain over the whole event.

Glad to hear you all weren't affected BD.... Can't believe how far north the storm reached. Best wishes for those still recovering.

@Mr.CPHo Hope all is well and safe with you and your family. Just seen news footage of the severe flooding of Biblical proportions in Ashville, NC. Stay safe, Charlie & family!
So glad to hear all the folks in Florida and Georgia made it through okay.
The pictures and reports coming out of North Carolina are just heartbreaking. I lived in Candler, just outside of Asheville for a few years. That is some
of the most beautiful country I have seen, and those are good people. I am so sorry to hear of that devastation.

I just spoke with Charlie in Asheville, they are fine as well as the house. They still have no power and limited supplies no internet and spotty at best cell service. They held a party for the neighborhood for people to use the webers to cook up perishing food items. He wanted me to let Y'all know they were good and surviving as best as they can.
Very good to hear Joe, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the update, Joe.

Hey, y'all, checking in with the WKC while we're down in ATL re-supplying. Friendly reminder to stay stocked up on charcoal and to befriend your neighbors. We are still without electricity and running water in Asheville. Take care, all.
Daughter and family just got electric and water back over the weekend. We sent down 200lbs of charcoal 2 weeks ago. SIL has been driving back and forth with supplies from us in VA to Augusta. The only good thing for me was I got the grandbabies for 2 weeks!!

Well, Milton was little different. We had a helluva lot more wind and almost a foot of rain.
Made it through okay, didn't lose anything, but power. Thankfully the gennie had access to almost 60 gallons of gas, so the AC kept me cool & the Fridge kept my scotch cool ! ! !
