I have been on the hunt for the version of happy cooker with 3 legs and the hanging system similar to the master touch, finally after a lot of searching I founding on FB marketplace. Picked it up today, came with a sweet wood side table.
@brewtownbeatdown do you have any information for me? Couple said they bought it new about 30 years ago.
Awesome score!!

Sweet score !!
Nice score with the sidekick too which I just noticed has three hooks as opposed to Weber's sidekick which has two.
Grate score Jeff !!!
Glad you were able to snag it. You're gonna love that gorgeous kettle. That hinge system is a pretty simple design, so make sure the lid hook catches, otherwise the hinge ends pull in a bit. The red hue is close to MLH redheads. HC was only around from '78-'87. Guessing that it's a '80-'82 based on the wheels, and having a hinge.

NICE!! Can't wait to see that one shined up.
A red HC is still on my bucket list to go with the
my growing herd of red heads.
My Happy Cooker is our daily driver. Grilling on it several times a week. Also smoking with it.
Treat it nicely, and it will reward you for years to come!
Here is what mine looks like...not as pretty as yours! That red color is way cool!

looks like your wire is gone, did you add a weber lid bale system?
Yes, lost the wire decades ago...dang it! So recently bought the Weber lid bale. It works nicely.

Also looks like you do not have the internal ash pan so you added the weber on, correct?
Looks great BTW

Thanks! My internal ash pan rusted away some years ago. That was the best idea. I liked it far better than what Weber has done. So an external ash pan was added. I also have a pan inside to catch ashes.
If there is an original internal ash pan available, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
