Finally I'm able to post pictures again from android!!!! (Via tapatalk)
I finally managed to find and secure and import to Australia a pre 1960 22" with utility shelf!
In all original condition with the clipped ash pan!!
Absolutely stoked I managed to find a big bro to my weber bros 49er.
Would have preffered a matching 58 weber bros 22" but I am definately not gonna complain about this stunning 1959 wooddale stamped grill!!!
Also scored a late 50s early 60s smokey joe to go with my 50s grills!
I plan to do a slight resto/rust removal on the 59 to preserve the condition of this fine grill.
But don't wanna go too full on and lose its character!
Any recommendations on how to go about the rust removal of the chrome plated legs?
Anyway here she is!!!

Also check out the original copper paint finish on the underside of the utility shelf!!

Teardown has begun!!
Ive finally managed to pry the steel lock nuts off the wheels using a pry bar and flat bar.
Took quite a few alternating pry's to get them to come looses.
Now to find a container just big enough to fit the utility shelf and legs to start the evaporusting of all rusted parts.
Will get some oven cleaner through the week for the inside of bowl and lid as its severely crusted on.

Evaporusted the solid steel legs and hardware back to raw steel. Quick spray of wd40 to prevent rust again.
Will heat lid and bowl up and will apply oil on the bare steel spots to help prevent further rust.

I like the patina of the bare metal and copper paint.
Wheels just got a light rub with superfine steel wool and soapy water.
Light coating of lanolin spray to keep the rust at bay.
Will put this together over the next day or so..
