Title: The sequoia kettle karma built
Post by: inkaddictedchef1 on July 04, 2020, 06:03:13 PM
... a year or so back Troy messaged me saying he had sequoia for me without a tabbed bowl if I wanted it, I agreed, now to plot transport. Posts were made and some things fell through then one random day whilst helping my pops move i get a picture text from spacemanspif ... said sequoia on the side of my house. Finished helping pops get situated in his new housing and smashed back across town to see a sequoia in person for the first time. As per our discussion the sequoia was in need of serious RRR and lots of love, the sequoia sat in my garage an touched for months. As time passes a couple of  sequoias come around in the range of Spacemanspifs travels and parts were needed all around.  The cart Troy gave me was deemed the parts cart and I was given a much nicer cart in the shuffle. The cart sat disassembled for a few more months and Cellar2ful gufted me a birth year coppermist missing a handle that was destined for the cart. Got a set of Rshack brackets and collected dust. Kettles move, shake and settle into there forever homes or in this case orphanage and once again spacemanspif comes through, this time with a beautiful tabbed coppermist bowl.
Today it got a run on some corn on the cob and stuffed jalapeno whilst the 63 chestnut delivered on the waygu tri-tip. The sequoia shall be called Johnny Cash as i got it one piece at a time and the chestnut shall be dubbed Chesty.
Thanks for reading heres a bunch of pics and a link to the cook... grill therapy, peace.

Awesome story about how your sequoia came to be, and that tri tip looks great! Also, congrats on 10 years of sobriety!
