Title: C&B Green Performer Color Question
Post by: Mainline on June 26, 2020, 12:48:56 PM
I have two C&B Performers in the light green color.
One is a DO code and the other a DE. So about a 5 year difference. Both came with the black frame and plastic table top.
Take a look at the attached image. The lid on the left is the older DO code. Right is newer DE code. The left is a much lighter color. I actually like the looks of the right one though, seems like a richer color.

Were all these C&B Performers supposed to be the same color?

Also, I removed the handles and the light / dark color is still there. I thought maybe the one on the left lived its life in the sun uncovered and got lightened up from the sun. I'm not sure about that though since the color under the handles is the same.

I don't know if they're all the same, but mine is a 2011 which is closer to your DE and the color looks the same. From what I've read it's called Grass Green

I noticed the same thing with a 2nd  generation to a 3rd generation.

These are both Gen 2. So they must have switched color formulas sometime between DO and DE.

That's a nice Gen 3. I like that handle and therm combo better than the gen 2
