Last week Wednesday I got in the car with my daughter and drove back to St. Louis in 25 hours to pick up my mother in law (long story). On Sunday, I got back in the car and drove back with my daughter and mother in law...we made it home in 23 hours 34 minutes...we all drove shifts (my daughter is 16 now!). Needless to say I wasn't exactly relishing another drive. But then an Aristocrat showed up in Hacienda Heights in SoCal. It was listed as "Azador de Carbon." The ad didn't show a lid, but through a conversation with the seller, he eventually texted me a pic of the lid, and I told him I would be there Wednesday afternoon. So, on Wendesday at 11am, I headed out the door for the four hour trip to Los Angeles. Picked it up a little after three, and I was NOT disappointed. It's a pre-patent pending thumbscrew Aristocrat. I turned around, and was home by 7:30.
The bowl has some very minor crazing, but there is NO missing porcelain anywhere. The lid has one small area of missing porcelain, and the handle had a broken edge which I sanded down, but otherwise, It is pristine. I didn't even polish up the lid vent. The ash pan has some pitting, but I only had to do a light washing. The one thing I did was swap out the wheels, legs, and triangle from my other Aristocrat. And so with that, here they are, twin aristocrats! Now, the old Aristocrat (named the Phoenix) will be off to find another home...see the other post. And with that, here's the pics of the twins!

@WNC thanks! The driving has been intense...but as to the search secrets, I'm not too worried, I've mentioned them before here...it doesn't seem that we have much of a SoCal presence on WKC these days. I'm sure there's a ton of SoCal guys on the Facebook groups, but as I've left one of the groups that caused some controversy here lately, I'm not too worried about it!
As to the grill, it's in fantastic shape, Really blew me away. I have a few things left to do with it (clean the inside of the lid and polish up the lid vent), Backyard pic will be coming soon.
