With this being my 3000 post, I figured it should be a little special. How about my 18" Galley Que that I acquired in May of this year. It will be featured as Miss February in the 2020 WKC Calendar.

Looking through the old Weber catalogs on the WKC, I find the 18" Galley Que was listed in the 1971 and 1972 catalogs. The Weber model number was BG-350 and it retailed for $74.95 in 1971.

In 1972, there was a $5 price increase to $79.95. By 1973, the Galley Que no longer appears in the catalog.

If you look at the two catalog photos above, the different year models appear to have legs of different lengths. The 1971 model appears to be a bit shorter than the legs of the 1972 model. It is even more apparent in this photo that
@harris92 posted of his Galley Que's. The one on the right has longer legs and is taller than the one on the left.

I believe my Galley Que is a 1972 due to mine having the longer aluminum legs. It is a Pat Pending lid vent that shows little if any use or exposure to the elements.

The handle is about as pristine as I have seen on a twin rivet wood handle.

Due to the condition of this beauty, my guess is it saw very little use as a grill or time on a boat.

The bottom vent has a half blue, half black porcelain coating on it, just like the other 18" Galley Q profiled in the WKC Grill Gallery. The ash cup attaches via four threaded studs that are welded to the bowl.

Four unique wing nuts hold the ash cup in place.

It really is a thing of beauty and maybe my favorite kettle.

No, this is it's reveal post. It was purchased on an eBay auction. Sadly, I don't have any ownership information on it. Due to it's condition, I would have to say it was stored in someone's garage or somewhere not exposed to the elements. The lid vent condition alone says a lot. I did not have to do any restoration or clean up to it. It is/was missing it's original cooking and charcoal grate and one plastic leg cap.
That's nice. Did yours come with the bracket (pic below)? My tall one came with everything but the chain. My short one came with the chain but not the bracket.
