Pretty useful and the only reason why I have not yet gone with a 26. Keep in mind that with a SnS the elevated grate runs hotter than the bottom one.

I have SnS one elevated grate and use it alot - one to add capacity and other in Summit to create a direct zone with coal on bottom rack.
Heavily used by me.
