Title: What is this? Painted or replacement wheel?
Post by: PotsieWeber on April 20, 2019, 06:14:53 PM
Is this a legit Weber wheel that isn't shown in the age guide?

Is it the "Early 70s wheel style. Around 1971-72." pictured wheel from the age guide, but re-painted white?

Or is it just a non-Weber replacement?

It looks like one of the plastic with rubber treads that was painted.

Didn't catch that when I saw the listing earlier.  Good eye!!!  Pic is bad, and I assumed those were mower wheels, so I didn't pay it much attention.

@brewtownbeatdown ->Kind of weird because it has the large tab on the top vent, so I thought replacement lid.  But, it also looks like large tabs on the bowl too.

@brewtownbeatdown Someone else posted about it on FB & one keen observer noted that, although there are large tabs on the top vent, there appears to be no raised stamped Weber logo on the vent and that it might have been one of the private label ones that Weber did.
