Does anyone know if you can use the iGrill 3 on a kettle? I know it was designed for gassers but I took a chance for a low price via Home Depot. Thanks

I grabbed one myself, because I could for that price.

Assuming it's just another BT thermometer.

Haven't opened the box yet, but I was interested in the tank monitoring. But maybe it needs the newer Genesis.

Yeah its weird that it seems like its just a run of the mill thermo from weber but everything i have read says it must be used with the Genesis II series. If it doesnt work ill just throw it on eBay and pick up an igrill 2.
