Title: CI pork chops with root veggies
Post by: bama bbq on August 09, 2012, 06:44:32 AM
So, we're "camping" in Nashville and decided to do some chops with carrots and potatoes.  You shoulda seen the folks in the RV park walking by looking at my Dutch Oven in heat.  :D

I put the veggies on bottom with a bit of oil and water, placed the chops on top and drizzled with Big Bob Gibson's White Sauce.

and cooked at 350* for a bit over an hour

...it turned out excellent top with some more rub

so we walked over the the Bob Evans and bought some ice cream and an an apple pie for desert

Next time I need to bring the ingredients for desert.

it looks nice and tasty.

i've been intrigued by the dutch oven techniques ever since i learned that it was more than farting in bed and pulling the covers up over the wife's head.

Great looking dinner!!! I have an outdoor dutch oven I have had for over 15 years and have used it maybe twice.
