Title: What metal is the kettle made with?
Post by: Kirk Fortin on May 25, 2013, 07:39:31 PM
So im looking to have the top piece of the legs welded back on to the kettle but my welder needs to know for sure what the metal is first. It's ceramic coated though right?

Hey Kirk, please share a picture and we can zero in on the repair. I think it's cold rolled steel.

Kirk, you may have better luck doing a search on BBQ-brethren. Those guys weld all sorts of crazy stuff to kettles and may be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!
