I once followed a CL ad for a free Weber to a curbside like that. It was also a lonely black 18 OTS, a little older. Came with a Weber chimney and lighter fluid which yes I did use. Cleaned and flipped for an easy $10 to a college kid just starting out grilling and we chatted briefly about technique to get him going.
That was the best part, the $10 revenue was of course nothing.

Nice score and close call for that little fella. Looks like it was moments away from a certain fate. My OTP was within 10-15 min of being tossed in the recycle truck coming around during bulk pickup. Very nice rescue!
