With any of 'em, they are worth what you will pay. Some guys are just looking for bargains, some will pay A LOT for a collectible.
That said, is it in a condition you will be happy with? Will you feel buyers remorse? Will your children go without food?
I've paid $150 for an SSP that I am now giving away. I would have paid more, because I really liked the cooker. And I did cook many great meals on it. It was worth the price.
You kind of have to forget about the small bucks difference and think about what you are going to do with the grill. Do you like looking at it? Enjoy it for years? Pay the little extra. Buy it as a collectible? Brother, that's up to you.
I have not seen it yet. I think the new ones are about $400.
The one I want is $200. I don't think all the other things are necessary I guess. I don't know.

My suggestion..pay/offer what you think its worth.
That said..that model will sell extremely quick around here at $200.

My answer is yes. It's worth it. You won't be sorry... believe me.
If it's in good shape, it's definitely worth it.
Think about it this way. The metal table is worth $75 new from Weber. So you are getting the rest for only $100.
Many here have an older model performer that would love to upgrade to the newer style metal table. Problem is the new metal table will add to your initial cost.
I was one of them as I had picked up a Gen2 black kettle gas assist performer in good condition (no rust) for $150 plus a three hour road trip.
Then I purchased a few new upgrades:
- new metal table $80
- new wheels $12
- 1998 SSP Redhead for lid/bowl.....$125
- GBS grate... $35
- warming rack $26
- GBS skillet $35
- GBS cast iron searing $35
- wide lid bail $17
- performer cover $59
As you can see, I have way more than what a new Performer Deluxe is worth. To me, it's worth it as I will enjoy cooking in it for many years.

@Joetee that is the deluxe model with gas assist, see the lighting instructions on the grey flip up panel. The blue is a great color. It looks to be in pretty good shape. I would go for it at that price. Great grill. First two upgrades- 1) new style lid bale + rollers. 2) new style black metal table. Done and Done. Good luck-
Just buy it. :)

I just paid $100 for my Blue (2012) Gas assist performer from craigslist. The seller told me I was the first to respond so she honored the price but she was getting higher offers. The lid had some light scratches and I am sanding down the table tonight but just to get the roughness off :)
I saw one on craigslist (C&B Green ) for $50 but I was 12 minutes too late to the party on that one.. only wanted $50.

Lol. Your already in the right place my brother. Buy that Blue! $175 all day long with no remorse.
1- metal table upgrade is going to cost $60-$80 depending on what current price Weber has.
2- new style charcoal bin wire chain... only a few bucks
3- wide lid bail should be around $20
Shipping is only $7 from Weber.
I'll need to find those part numbers.

As others have said, it really depends on you. I wanted a Performer ever since the first time I saw one. Problem is, I wasn't willing to drop $400 on a new one, nor was I willing to spend $200 on a used one. In short, I liked having the $200 in my pocket more than I wanted the Performer. Watching CL for some time, a Performer popped up at $75 and I was all over it. Went to check it out and buy it, only to find a $40 price tag on it. Seems that the owner had a yard sale the previous weekend and that was his asking price. I kind of smiled, he said "Yeah, that's the price today as well" so I got the money out as fast as I could and had it loaded in my van before he could change his mind.
So the question is, how much are you willing to pay for a Performer to have it either right now, or in this particular color (blues don't show up here very often).
65189 Metal table, Performer, silver vein '15
65188 Hardware, tuck away lid holder '15
65197 Charcoal bin chain, Performer
They should include the charcoal bin chain for free when you order the metal table.
Weber part #s
65188 lid bale kit about $30 and well worth it.
65189 steel table top I have heard $65-75 I have not purchased yet.

You have to go to the support section and find the schematics for the 2015 Performer. When you click on support>schematics, it will take you to a page asking for serial number to search by. There's a tab that says "search by grill family". Click it, then select USA for country, charcoal for type, then 2015 Performer Deluxe for the last item. You should get a listing with a couple of entries, just click on the black one.
It should take you to this:
https://www.weber.com/US/en/help/schematics/browse.aspx?model=15501001
Find the part you want on the diagram, trace the line and click on the number. It will then give you the part name and the part number as well.

Not so sure about the warranty falling to the first to register, and I suggest being up front about not being the purchaser when registering the grill. (You don't think they've heard this scam before?) I find it odd that for a club professing to love a particular brand and using the word Respect in our motto that some would make an effort to rip them off. Plenty of us have been sent parts FOC even if we have been honest about how the grill came to us. Try that with ANY other brand out there. Try getting ANY original parts for a 20 or 30 year old product from any other company. Warranty or not. "Hey Apple, I have a Mac IIc and the mother board is toast. Send me a new one free please. Oh, sorry, I forgot to register it in 1984, my bad."
My 2011 Genesis needed something replaced under warranty last year so I just happen to know the policy as I read about it and was advised of it on my phone call. They wanted to know the serial number off of my genesis and asked if I was the original purchaser ( I was ) but didn't register it until I called in for the claim. I didn't occur to me to register a product like that.. I usually just ignore those postcards, as I am sure most do.
Not trying to scam anything but again, was advised that the warranty goes to the purchaser not the next owner if you were given one etc... Not sure what the point is of registering a grill that you obtained later down the line if the warranty doesn't apply to you unless you are trying to get the (scam)warranty. Wouldn't Weber know that a grill was registered twice ( at least the more recent ones with serial #'s ) ? It came out wrong so I will modify the original messages as I can't seem to figure out where the delete button is.
@SmokinPerformer where did you get the warming rack. I need to get one. Is it made by Weber?
I registered a few grills that I obtained second hand, but it was strictly to make purchasing parts easier if/when I need them. From my reading on here, it sounds like it's an easier process if you have a registered grill. I haven't purchased anything yet but I was planning on buying the metal table at some point and when I do, I plan on calling or emailing the customer service and telling them I'm the second owner and that I need a price. The registering part of the deal makes it easier for them to identify my type of grill and ensure I get the right parts. This is all in theory at this point since I haven't purchased parts yet but I can only assume it will make it easier. I do have a couple grills registered that purchased new as well.

I'm testing my theory now. I sent an email to customer service and told them I have a registered second hand grill that I would like to purchase a metal table for.
By having already created a weber ID I assume that customer service will be able to see which grills I have on their end thus making it easier. We'll see I guess.

Having the grills in their system also shows how big a fan you are, and that often translates into better deals, and even freebies once in a while. You'll see.
I have something like 20+ grills registered at Weber. When dealing with gassers, you almost have to give them a serial number to get parts. I've given them the serial and they are the ones who registered them to my account.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
And yes, I've had CSR's punch the SN in, tell me that the grill hasn't been registered before and then sent parts to me under warranty, knowing full well that I bought it off of Craigslist.
It could very well be that while the printed policy is that warranty only goes to original owner, that Weber recognizes the first to register as the original owner. That, or maybe it just depends on the CSR.
If they do send parts under warranty, I don't argue about it, I just say thank you. If they say that it's not under warranty, I don't cry about it, I just go ahead and just order the parts.

I just spoke with customer service at Weber. I asked about the metal table upgrade for my 2008 Crate & Barrel performer. I let the CSR know that I bought the grill used and that the table was damaged and was willing to pay for a new one. She offered to register the grill. But because my sticker on the back of the frame is so faded I can't read it she would not register it. I asked what the price would be if I was to purchase this table top out right and was told $73 plus tax and shipping. I was never asked my name or how many grills I have registered. Asked about getting a break on the table and was told I probably would not get more than 10% off and was quoted prices from other replacement sources by the Weber CSR. Eraplacements sell it for this, this other place sells it for this $.
Try again later I guess.😔
With my two performers I made sure to ask the previous owners if they registered these grills, when I registered them weber knew automatically that these were C&B so that tells me the placement of certain numbers within the serial number is key.

Probably what I paid for mine, and no regrets. The steel table is such a nice upgrade, it's worth it. Having said that, it's about time we start seeing more metal table Performers showing up on CL. They've been out in the wild long enough to get dirty, and we all know why most grills end up on CL.
It was just weird being quoted prices from "competitors" never had that happen before calling Weber.
Better grab that before somebody else does. I passed on an ssp about a month ago because I was busy and I've been kicking myself and scanning hoping every since for another steal deal.

Have you bought it yet? And if not... what are you waiting for???
Yes I got it Father's day. Cooked on it a couple times now. It's a great grill.
But I have a question.
The gas assist wires are not hooked up to the switch where they plug in. Is the button supposed to click when you push it in? It doesn't. I have not put a gas tank on it yet to try it. But with it not clicking, I'm thinking because the wires are not hooked up that maybe it needs a new gas assist. Can someone direct me to a new one just in case I need one? Does Amazon have the correct unit?

Joe tee, just to be precise, the "gas assist" is comprised of several components. There's a burner tube, a valve, a regulator and hose as well as an ignition system. At worst, the igniter is what might need to be replaced on yours. But yes, those wires should attach to the switch on one end and the electrode on the other end.

Well I've learned that my new grill is a Weber Performer Platinum. I'm thinking a gen 4. Only used one season.
I also just learned that it needs batteries. LOL maybe that's why the previous owner had the wires disconnected from the igniter.
Well. I got it for $175 for Father's day. I was skeptical at first but know that I've used it, it is diffinately my go to grill first. What an amazing grill.
Thanks guys.

Good luck-
Can you give me part numbers for the upgrade lid bale and steel table please?
Sent from my SM-G955U using Weber Kettle Club mobile app (http://r.tapatalk.com/byo?rid=91018)
Ok I found the part numbers for my performer:
Metal table 65189
Lid bale 65188 I think
Chain assm 65197
Not all these numbers are what my AT performer calls for so I assume they are for a newer model.
So if these numbers are correct, how do I order from the Weber site? Or do I have to call them?
Is there somewhere else I should order them from?
Thanks

@Joetee New style lid bail (as equipped on the 2015 Performers and M/T) - #65188
Black steel table - #65189
Weber customer service 1-800-466-1071
Be advised that some Weber representatives are reluctant to place an order if you do not have a grill registered that matches the part number. I guess it has to do with liabilities and parts being returned.

Hey Joe. I have heard of customer service not selling parts for stuff not registered as well. There would be no harm in registering something you do not have in order to subsequently order a table top or whatever. You are only doing it in order to make a purchase and cannot take advantage of Momma Weber by doing so.

I just called them and told them I'm upgrading and gave them the three part numbers.
Table, lid bale, and chain assm.
$112 including shipping. I guess that's a good price but after all, it is a great grill. I love it.
Oh some of you might recall my gas assist wires were disconnected when I bought this. I went and got a gas bottle and hooked it up and it works just fine. Only thing I can think of is the previous owner had kids and didn't want them starting a fire.

112 bucks is cheap man. I am surprised customer service is open on Sundays. Sounds like you didn't get any hassles for ordering something you did not have registered....I bet you get this from long time employees who work regular hours.
Joe tee, just an FYI, but you don't have to do either of these upgrades. The Performer functions fine without them. This is definitely an optional "man, I really want that" kind of upgrade

They sent me a confirmation and I checked the part numbers. They had the wrong part number for the lid holder. So I called them back and they changed my order to the correct part number. It was about $5.00 cheaper.

I called asking for legs, triangle, ash pan, ash clips, and the OT kit for the red K 18 I just scored. When they asked about registering the grill I told them I got it at an estate sale and it's probably too old to register. They said nope, they can add it to my account for future parts reference. Registered the K and quoted $99 shipping and tax included. Weber is really the best.

I have a non Weber rotisserie. It works like a charm. There is perhaps a 1/8" gap between the rotti ring and the kettle, but I have never found it to be an issue.

I think mine is a gen 3. 2013 or 2014. It has an AT code.
I will be installing mine either today or tomorrow. I'll get some photos up on here.
When I ordered it, weber customer service I believe said the new lid bale would work on anything from 2013 and on. It will not work on anything before 2013.
