I ran across a Weber accessory that I had never seen before and I had to have it. No date on the box, but based on the style I would guess early 80s. The pictures pretty much tell the story...
The box:

These are the guard which is a SJ lid:

And the hanging hardware:

Not sure what my plans are for it, but if anyone has a Weber birdfeeder, I'm looking...
@Jocool, any interest in selling yours ;D
Very interesting, multipurpose at least.

this seems like something my grandpa would have had at one point or another. they have a hill behind the house and he had built a bird feeder village. even had a squirrel seat that had a corn coby stand

if i had one of those.. i might not have thrown out my bird feeder a few years ago..
the squirrels are healthy weight as it is with the acorns in my front yard..
There is no living thing I hate more than squirrels. Kudos to Weber for aiding the fight. Brothers in arms! >:( ;D
PS- I'm sure the guard was a failure.

Here's Jocool's birdfeeder (http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/trading-post/birdfeeder/msg239430/#msg239430)
Thanks
@Bob BQ. We'll see which one of us convinces the other to part with their Weber branded bird feeding item...
@Neil_VT00 @Bob BQ I'll give you both $20 if you get together on this, fill the damn thing with seed, hang it up in a real tree and get a few pics with some real live birds and/or squirrels attacking it. Then you can put the pieces back in the boxes never to be seen again. C'mon!
@Jeff is, to this date, the only one that gave us some great pics of a Galley Que on a real boat on real water. It's your turn!

Great idea... seeing as how the birdfeeder is Down Under with
@Jocool that might be a bit difficult. ???
Are there even squirrels in Australia?
Ahh, that's why the Weber logo is upside down on the feeder.

Yeah, but they're 3~5 ft. tall & kick like a mule........... 8)
And they don't climb trees

love it
Did they just take an SJ lid and drill one hole in it rather than two? That's both funny and cool. Nice find!
