May sound like a stupid question.. but my Red 1999 code EE is darker in the center
Than the top and bottom , I have not fired it up yet,
But is this a result of years of heat or is ''tis the original
Paint sneam?
Skeam..
No issues. It's called the "Fade".

It's a defect, send it to me for disposal. Post some pics so we can see the nice fade!

Didn't answer my question guys... original color or faded from the heat of cooking?
Sneam, Skeam, or Scheme .... whatever it is called ... Yes, most of the redheads from the '90s have this. They were made this way, not from heat.
My 1995 (EO) has a very nice fade.

Thank you Mac for answering my question.
So many kettles so little time.
@Lemans -I have a twin to your double E MT that I bought new in 99. That is exactly the way they were produced. I have heard them referred to as red fade or red mist. Here she is fired up with the angry red color change you will see when you get her hot.

They could be twins!!!! As soon as I finish cleaning her
Up I will post some pics.
@Lemans , I just recalled a thread from a couple years back.
