Title: Enamel chipped off on sides of Performer kettle
Post by: jorrtvh on September 09, 2016, 02:49:59 AM
I apologize if this has been discussed dozens of times but I was wondering what to do about this.  I looked for a way to search the threads but I didn't see one with a quick scan.  I'm getting ready for work and don't have much time. My Performer that I've only had since this past Christmas has had the enamel chip off on the sides where the lid holder attaches to the kettle.  It didn't happen at first; it was sometime this Spring that I first noticed it.  I don't think I over tightened them but perhaps I did.  Anyone else have this issue?  And if so, is this covered by the warranty?

Should be covered under warranty.

Make sure you have your paperwork on hand when you call. They are gonna ask for serial numbers and stuff. That info should be in your owners manual. ...and look for any other issues on the lid finish. Be courteous and appriciative of their help and you might be able to sweet talk your way into a new bowl and lid. Take some pics and be ready to email em to the CS rep. Good luck. Don't mention WKC. Might not help your case
