Let's see some pieces of grill/grill accessory history that weren't made by Weber. Anything old, unique, quirky, bizarre, innovative, etc. Things from a time when companies took risks, instead of relying on bean counters & focus groups to develop something (early 90's & older?).
Start with the products name (as specific as possible), so when someone Googles, it'll lead to the WKC. If you've posted a write-up on something before, throw it in here & include the link if you'd like. No cheap bottom feeders. Nothing homemade.

Never knew such a thing existed. I wonder how many kids branded themselves while an inattentive cook grilled was running it. Cool piece of history.

I just bought the identical Strutco Grill this morning from a garage sale. After trying to research it I have come across this forum. Pretty Cool! Just curious if you have found any info on this grill. Mine is missing the ash pan and would love to find one...
I haven't found much info on this model. I did find out that Structo started producing grills in 1960 & production ceased around 1985. Based on the original colors that I've seen these kettles in, I figure that they must be late 70's to mid 80's. My assumption is that this kettle was Structo's attempt to stay relevant in the marketplace. Buddy L produced a grill that was almost identical from the hinges down, but had different lid shape & a "starburst" cooking grate.
I'm working to secure another one for parts (& to turn into a

grill). If it "pans" out, I'll let you know

I just encountered this old thread while browsing the web for Structos. I think they are so awesome! I would absolutely LOVE to have an old, brown, charcoal Structo as that is the grill my mom grew up with. Here is a picture of her family cooking out on it.
