Hey guys,
I need some help. I have difficulties to finde the right tool to clean the lid and bowl. I bought several razor scrapers, but most of them will do a very poor job, since I can't reach all places with the blade. I´m done buying different razor scrapers and being disappointed after trying them out. So I would like to buy one that is working for you guys.
I bought another red 22" 1998 that I want to clean soon and have my first spring cook on.
Could some of you guys put some pics on what you use to clean the lid? That would be very appreciated by a german WKC member!

I used one of these last time.

4$ and it came with 5 blades.

I'm not sure what's available in Germany, but this is my chosen tool:

You can store blades in the handle, and the long reach gives you lots of leverage.
Another popular choice is to use a Vice-Grips or other locking pliers to grab onto the blade. The pliers serve as a nice handle.
The Harbor Freight 4 piece set is the same thing I use. I like the long handled one.
awesome! thank you guys, I will try to get the one with the handle and try my luck on the red grill :)
Good Morning,
Since no one mentioned it, I presume you are using the razor scraper for the inside of the bowl
and lid. I see you posted pics of the exterior, if that is what you are trying to clean, use soap
and water and 0000 steel wool. Hope this helps.
yes using it just for the inside... Outside always turns out perfect with 0000 steel wool!
I just put the pictures on for everybody to see what I am working on right now.
But thanks for you advice
@wrehfield!
Is there a page where I can see what
@zavod44 is offering for different types of handles?
@mx.kessler, at the top of the page,on the left where it says Wooden Handles.
Send me a PM and I can send you a pic of the wood I have on hand right now, I actually have a decent stash of exotic woods
