How many if you mark your ash pan with lines to help you determine how open or closed your bottom vents are with the one touch system?
Exactly 34 of us.
(I have vertical Sharpie lines on my Performer ash can holder at 1/4, 1/2 and full open.)

I think you nailed it ATS!
I also have lines on my ash catchers (18" OTG and 22" OTG) to mark 1/4, 1/2, and full open.
Yep..beats the heck out of bending over and trying to figure it out without them..
Did that the first day I owned it
All mine are marked with a sharpie..1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full open

I never could understand why they just don't come that way.

I've used the darn things long enough I don't need to mark them....plus marking them strikes me as unsightly.
I'm with Mr Hoss.
Used to. Now I control temps with the amount of fuel used

I learned it by watching you (sorry, corny '80s tv drug add reference). I did it based on what I read here, elsewhere and saw on youtube.
One mark for smoking temps. Otherwise, wide open.

LMAO....loved that one.
I think I marked the first SSP I bought, none after that. I find vent adjustment to be very overrated.
j/k ;D
Glad I saw this thread. Just marked it. However, not sure how accurate it will be. There is some give in the ash sweep.

Me too. Though like Troy I use them a lot less often than I used to.
