I need some awesome pics of abused kettles.
Ones that have been left out, snowed on, rusted through, smooshed, turned into planters, etc

Is this a trick? We send you pics thinking "holy crap @Troy is gonna love this". Then next thing you know, you're getting a visit from your local authorities. Borderline entrapment if you ask me.

@Troy Another good one. The "Roached Westerner". Too bad you couldn't save it.

Rescued just last week. The bowl was a planter and still has 100lbs of frozen soil in it!

Yeah, I knew you guys would like this one. SIL asked me if Weber ever made a white grill because he saw one at a house they were working on. :o By the look on my face he knew there was something special about it! I asked him to snap a few pics of it whenever they got back over there to work on the house. Well he did better than that. The owner sold it to him, and it was sitting in my garage when I arrived home from work.
Wow, incredible find! Can't believe that was a planter...what a shame
Holy crap. Another White Buffalo. It can be saved. You can rebuild it. It will be a wonderful thing.
EDIT: Deleted my post. Realized this is for charcoal kettles, not gas kettles.
@bladz that kettle needs its own thread. What a find!
@bladz incredible find congrats

@Hogsy, you are correct. If anyone can move some of the past comments about this white grill into a new thread that I will start,
@Troy can get the feedback he is looking for on abused grills.
My apologies
@Troy. I saw your thread topic, and thought it would be a great place to show a truly abused kettle. Sorry again. :(
@bladz no need to apologize to anybody man!! Please go ahead and start a new post - you will receive PLENTY of new comments once you do 8)
Everyones just pumped to see one of these

Any idea what happened to this thing? The rusted out cracks/lines in the porcelain are strangely geometric.
If you zoom in it looks like it was cut with a cutting torch.
It's a turtle we saw at a flea market.
Didn't even bother to ask how much, just if I could take a picture ;D
Junk artist ... they can be counted on to turn something into nothing ... it's art man. SJ

@saxart is this recent? Is there a story here that I've missed? Such a cool kettle even with the serious flaws!

Crowderjd-
The "meat parts" kettle is not mine. It is something I found locally. Surprisingly, it was seen just sitting out in the guy's yard two winters ago. We had just gotten a blizzard, so there was literally a 18" tall pile of snow on top of the lid. Didn't see the meat-parts, but saw the color and stopped to make a cold-call.
The guy was really nice, but didn't want to sell (or trade) it. We brushed it off so I could see it better and I almost fell over! Since speaking with him about it, the grill is now being kept inside a garage, but I believe he still uses it from time to time.
Just in case anyone is interested... YES, I have spoken with him on multiple occasions about selling or trading it, and he won't. (doesn't mean I'm going to quit trying though...)
Ha! Thanks for the story. Glad he brought it inside! I hope you get it one day!
