Title: Blue "Bud Light Carne Asada" Kettle
Post by: Mozfan00 on October 09, 2015, 09:21:43 AM
Met a guy who I am planning to meet today to buy an 18" Blue "Bud Light Carne Asada" kettle from.  Brand new in the box.

My question is where the heck do these come from?  I've been researching all night but cant find where these have originated.  I have found several for sale around the southwest US from private sellers.

Thoughts???  Want to go into this feeling good about the addition to my young collection.

Not sure if this is the right forum

Those pop up on Ebay and craigslist pretty often.  They are just standard Weber kettles that companies, in this case Budweiser, have put a logo on.  Some are for promotions others are given away in drawings as prizes.  They are normal kettles though.

Thanks @joshg

Guess they may be cool to have around but not necessarily a rarity

I'm thinking if converting to a smoker

The color is more purple than blue but a new 18" for $20 off is worth it

Anytime you can get an 18 in a color for that price is a good deal, even if does have something on the lid.  Nice job!

Think he meant $20 under retail. Thought about one that's been on eBay for a while. If it didn't say carne asada. I'd probably do it.

I saw a Miller Light 22 with this same bluish purple color.. I wanted to enter to win it but I got a phone call and went and bought my beer and wings and forgot about it. It was gone the next week

Some dark colored handles from @zavod44 would look slick.
