Awesome, congratulations to the winners!
Awesome congratulations to all the winners!
Congrats to the winners. And thanks to
@SixZeroFour for putting it together.
Congrats to the winners and kudos to 604 for coordinating and for the members that participated in this monumental event.
Congrats to the Winners.
Thanks to those who donated gifts and big thanks to
@SixZeroFour for putting this on. He is probably going to hate me for making this known but the cost of this is something he is taking on himself in large part. To me that is over the top generous, I think we all owe him a HUGE thanks for this. I have his paypal e-mail too for those who may want to kick him a buck or 5 for this. ;) 'merican to Canadian exchange is solid right now.
While I think it is awesome for him doing this for this site, I wonder if we can do some sort of setup in the future where we donate a dollar per entry to subsidize the cost of the site and shipping the products. If I am taking away any glory Matt tell me to shut up.
@LightningBoldtz .... Shut Up! :o ;) :D
Thanks for the post Jeff but please don't worry about sending anything to me!! This site does a lot for me too so this is just a small way I try to contribute to the community. I love every second of the eCook and am thrilled that so many others participate and hopefully enjoy it as much as I do.
Can't wait for the next one!!! ;)
Once again congrats to all the winners!

Send money !!!
Throw credit cards on stage !!!!!
Seriously, thank you for all you do !!!!
& L.B. Thank you also, for all you do & an attitude which causes a post like that !!!!
good times, here's to hope I'll add a redhead to the next ecook
I agree, Kudos to Matt for putting this whole thing on. I did not realize how much he did for it. I do think next year that something should be done to help off set the costs. I have a wonderful wife, but I don't think she would take too well to spending that much money (or my kettle buying would have to go on hold for a bit).
I will say, things like this is what makes this board so special!!
Thank you again!!
Congrats to all the winners!
Thanks, Matt, for putting this together! That's a hell of a lot of kettle cooks... out of curiousity, does anyone recall how many members participated, and the total number of cooks from last year?
Wow, it is like Christmas in July. First I get my new WKC shirt in the mail then I find out I actually won something!
Thank you SixZeroFour, and everyone else who donated and keeps this site alive!
Congrats to the winners and thank you everyone who contributed pictures, prizes or comments to an amazing ECook and a huge thank you to 604 for your efforts and generosity. From the Ontario meet up day 1 on Canada Day to seeing the Americans doing there thing on July 4th this was an amazing event. Love seeing old and new kettles loaded up with food like that.
How about next year adding an entry fee ?

I know Matt is going to fight that, but I think it would be great. If some of the money helps the site then be may be on board
I am definitely game.
This year's event was great - I enjoyed every minute of it and every cook entered! I agree with @idahawk I could see an entry fee being used two ways 1) off-setting any costs and benefiting the site and 2) potentially doing a big prize - like a grail or a package of steaks - like the kind you can order online but don't because it's really not a good use of family funds...oh wait that's just my excuse...

Make it voluntary so nobody is left out and Matt would be cool with it I'm sure

I had a great time cooking!
I will send you a PM.

Idea that I like (because I thought if it) is maybe a buck for each entry submitted. We would have generated $150 if that was the case this year. I would have gladly chipped in 6 bux for my cook submissions.
Even if its making a few extra bucks on an Ecook2015 Ecook2016 hat, beer coozie or tshirt I think most involved would enjoy having a keepsake. Lots of great ideas here also.
Props to Matt for his hard work, and to all the participants. It was a great event that really embodies the sprit of the WKC!

Congrats to ALL who participated in the eCOOK II ... some great cookups and pics. Thank you one and all for the inspiration.
Congrats to those who were the chosen few.

How about next year adding an entry fee ?
While I know most members would be willing to chip in under the spirit that the contest is being performed, if there is an entry fee it could cross over to be regulated under state/national/international lottery/gaming laws.
@Chuck that is a really good point. An optional contribution might be the way to go instead of a required entry fee.
Thanks Matt for organizing this!
From thinkin about what to cook, to putting my posts together, and enjoying all of the other awesome cooks, I had a lot of fun participating in this years eCook!
I really appreciate the hard work and commitment that
@SixZeroFour put into this too, thanks Matt !
