Title: Flat top 26 question
Post by: indy82z on June 07, 2015, 02:44:26 PM
Question for all of you...I know the new 26's have the bale setup and a more oval shaped lid, but does anyone know if the flat top lid fits into the new bale assembly? If not, anyone have the new style and an old one that they could check this for me?

Thanks

Tom

I just use the 22" lid bale accessory on my 26". Works well so far.

Was wondering about that as well, thanks. And the other day I saw a pic of someone's WSM using that Slide - a - Side accessory, pulled pretty far apart to allow the WSM's lid to be vertical!

The Slide-Aside works famously on the older 26ers. Saves from drilling into a vintage kettle and having to cut off the rear MBH/strap & wood handle.

I didn't think it would work for the flat top 26 I am going to put it on the aristocrat

My Chief wears a slide-aside well... works like a charm.
