Title: "O" Code 22...which ash pan?
Post by: indy82z on May 23, 2015, 03:11:41 PM
I have an "O" code 22 and not sure which ash pan it should have? I know some of the earlier letters (A-F at least) had the rolled twist ash pan, but what year did they change to the current style? I tried a quick search but did not see anything.

Thanks

Tom

Ash pans went from rolled edge twist over to full disc during 1986. By '87 they were all full disc clips (save for some rare exceptions) But. IMO the twists look sweet on any 80s or 90s red One Touch. They sit up closer to the bowl and do a better job catching all the ash that's just me though..

I agree that the twist on look better on that era of kettle.

1986 kettles came with either style depending on when in the year they were made. Much like 1979 kettles came with either straight edge or rolled edge twist pans.
