Title: Rustic Breakfast
Post by: Duke on December 20, 2012, 10:28:24 AM
I was in the mood for some real breakfast this morning, but I didn't want to make a mess in the kitchen. So, I broke out the big paella pan and the 26'r and went to town. It consisted of refried beans, maple sausage, flour tortillas and of course eggs. I was out of jack cheese for the beans.  :( I didn't take any served pictures, but it included fresh made salsa. When it was done I just set the whole thing on the table and we devoured it.  :)

Thanks everyone! By the way, I cooked the sausage first and everything else in the leftover grease! I thought it might be my "end of the world" breakfast. :D

Yes, my mother is Sicilian and my father is Mexican. They are both third and fourth generation Americans. I never picked up either language, but I sure like the foods. :D

Ahhhhh....had a feeling .   My husband always thinks its wierd when I add refried beans to breakfast......or tortillas to well..... Anything!  Lol my mom is puerto rican-French and my dad is Mexican.   I'm a first generation American and actually spent ALOT of time in Mexico growing up.  And I got the language down pat.....both dialects.  ;-) ;-) ;-)
