Hello all, new to board. I love all my weber grills, all I have ever had. I am building a new small deck, to place two performers side by side.
I have tried a friends 26.75, and just don't like it as much as the 22" kettles. maybe because i am just so used to cooking on the original size. i would rather have two 22" than one 26". I have never had a performer, just the OTG in black. So after reading some here, I want to get two performers in two different colors, LOL..
Here are a few of my questions.- If I get it through an Ace store, what are the correct SKU numbers or weber Product ID numbers? if I get one now, they would be the current model without the changes, so I want to wait. the only reason I want to get it through an Ace store is that I have one less than 1 mile from my house. I could save the freight from ordering one, and they would even put it together for free so all I have to do is go up there and load her up in the truck. just seems too easy. just need to know the ACE numbers for this guy..
Also, what colors would you recommend? I must assume either the copper,crimson,green, are my choices for 2015? please advise. thanks!!
Check on Amazon, i have heard they are there and then get the SKU# for Ace. When i talked to Weber last week they said Oct they would come out but..... i wouldn't hold them to it, they also said the new lid bail would have the same part # so we shall see.
The 2015 Weber grills are expected to start shipping from Weber the first week in October (happening now). I work at ACE Headquarters (also a huge Weber fan & backyard pitmaster) and can tell you that all our warehouses will have the 2015 Performers in stock between 10/10 and 10/15. It depends on your local ACE retailer when they will actually order these, so you might want to head to the store and ask the manager if they intend to do this, just to make sure.

Not a problem, I am ACE Helpful after all :)
I did some double checking and can also tell you that our Wisconsin and Alabama warehouses (both serve multi state regions) have the new Performers in stock, but in limited numbers 10-20, so I would definitely recommend heading to your local ACE and asking a manager to order one for you, as I imagine some will wait until Spring 2015 to order on a larger scale.

While we are talking about 2015, does anyone know if Weber is going to make the 6520 Pizza Oven available in the US this year? I was pretty bummed that I couldn't find one locally during the limited release.
