While doing the usual scan of CL yesterday a 18.5" OTG kettle popped up which is quite rare for these parts. It was listed as the kettle, a weber cover, weber chimney and half bag of charcoal for $40!!... After taking a look at the pics I shot an offer to the seller of $30 - and within minutes he responded saying sure, when could I pick up! Just before I left the house I printed out the ad and for a split second I thought I noticed a slight green shade to the pics but convinced myself if was just reflection from the trees just off the balcony...
Thankfully I was wrong!! To my surprise as I pulled up the seller was waiting out front and with him stood a Green "DH" 18.5" OTG! I was pretty pumped and couldn't wait to get home and get scraping but the seller was already mid-speech about how he preferred charcoal, the benefits of the ash catcher and how best to get the coals started. This sounds weird but I almost wait in anticipation for "the speech" as it's always the same, but always different... know what I mean? Above are the CL pics where I thought it was black...
And here she is at home - not exactly purrdy but the potential is there!...

I'm thinking wood handles will look awesome but these are all I had on hand - will be rectified soon! :)
Wow amazing find. A a quick cleanup. How did you polish the triangles.
Really nice pickup. So the kettle karma is still flowing for you. That's a thank you from the e-cook.
wow that dark green really looks good! congrats on a nice score!
Very very nice find there 604. How did you get the triangle so new looking? I have a couple/three triangles that need to be treated just like you did yours.
I'm guessing that the triangle wan;t too bad. SOS or steel wool..
The hardest part is those little nooks and crannies..
She came out great! Nice score and glad you saved it.
Melted handles and a melted charcoal grate? Yeah, that guy liked his lighter fluid..

These mini OTG's are awesome! Never really was that interested in them before but after seeing one in person these are super cool!
@argentflame - I'm working on a detailed write up regarding the triangle cleaning that should be ready within a few weeks - keep an eye on the WKC homepage! ;)
