Title: Weber performer prior 2000 LP burning issue
Post by: kd2kk2 on July 31, 2014, 12:54:19 PM
I am a proud owner of the Weber Performer (<2000) since 1994. I am having issues with the propane start, it will light but will pulse and burn itself out. The LP tank is full and replaced the regulator last week. Flame itself is normal but is not a consistent burn. It will pulse badly and extinguishes itself.
Any ideas??

I'd check for spider webs or some other obstruction in the burner pipe.

Or it could be the regulator.

To the left of the regulator is an in-line shut off valve.  With the LP tank open, close the in-line valve, wait a few seconds, reopen the valve, and continue as normal.  That has helped mine more times than not.
