Title: Hot Shots Part Deux - The Red Offset Smokey Joe!
Post by: SixZeroFour on July 24, 2014, 07:47:39 AM
So here she is - part two of my amazing one day score! It was already in decent shape but after a good clean and steel wool scrub it really started to shine!

The legs weren't in the greatest shape so I decided to steal the brand new leg and hardware set out of my NIB C... Normally I would never do such a thing but in this case I made an exception  8)

tremendous !!!!

Looks like the old fellow used it at least some.....that's good....

I really wonder if Weber used pre-speckled oven porcelain, formed it & then did their colors on the outside......most old stoves look just like the speckling on that......

Fantastic SJ! Sounds like you had a bloddy great day. :)

Can I ask a question about the top vent? Does it move really smoothly or does it require a bit of force? Does it make a sort of squeal/protest noise when you move it?

Congrats again!

Ken

Very very nice. I've never seen the offsets in person but what you've got there looks amazing.

Tell me boy, what is the riddle of steel?
