Weber patent illustration

Doing a patent search on the grillmaster and ran across this , early design for the performer maybe , I thought it was cool .

I'm guessing they realized the lid was kinda in the way ?

Had one, now in another members care. Thanks though, it was always a mystery. When I sent the picture to Weber, they said somebody fabricated... Was not made by Weber.

No, no BS. The patent says not only for gas, but charcoal and electric too.
