Hello, I've been sitting on this writeup for a while but some recent discussions about accessories and thermometers reminded me to post it. Thanks to everyone that pitched in!

Nice write up. I got excited when I saw Thermapen link for $79...that excitement quickly faded after clicking the link though. I've been very pleased with the Thermopop, but the gear junkie in me still wants a Thermapen.
Oops! I updated the price. The text body is a little old. :D
No worries. I was just about to use the "but it's on sale" line to my wife.
Great write up, gums! Thanks.
Great write up. I'm thinking if I should get a roti thermometer. The one from Maverick.
That's cool. I've never heard of that until now. Can't you do the same thing with a maverick et-733 transmitter? Rubber bands or something.

I have one of those and it is very handy (just as long as you remember to thread it on before putting the food on. ;D)

The ET-75 http://www.maverickhousewares.com/et75.htm
I don't have any sort of remote thermometer, wired or wireless ... can anyone tell me if this or others from Maverick use interchangeable parts? In other words if I bought the ET-75 kit, could I use its receiver with other probes or whatever they might sell separately? I don't want to have to get a whole bunch of thermometers simply because I use different attachments or accessories.
