Title: R&R doing a little RR&R
Post by: LightningBoldtz on May 10, 2014, 06:34:25 PM
SS Blue all taken apart earlier today.  when I bought it a few months ago I never did a deep cleaning.

there was some bubbles in the tubing and I wanted to take a look at my slight lean.

All back together and looking good.

I've been monkeying around with a SS performer this weekend myself. By the looks of your packaging, looks like you specialize in monkey business.  ;)

Looks great! Nice job. I'm hoping to pick up an SS performer this summer.

What did you do for the lean? Did you replace the star nuts?

I did not have to do any of that.  On the top frame two of the inserts were slightly off square.  I took a hammer and tapped them back.

Short term it will  be just fine.  Long term i think some welding will be in order.
