Craigslist score Red SS performer
« on: April 06, 2014, 06:32:50 AM »
After about a 5 month search, 4 hrs driving in Fridays rush hr trafic, a 143 mile round trip, I got my SS performer  for $45. I contacted the guy wendsday within 20mim of him posting on craigslist we talked I asked about rust, dents, chips inns the kettle all sounded good so I told him I would buy it. Problem #1 the best time for him was saterday, ok that's 3 days away I can wait. He calls me up Thursday night  at 10:30pm and tells me he has another buyer, but if I want it I have to get it Friday! Ok I'll be there, I knew this would happen! So I cancel my plans with the wife, now she hates the grill and evry thing I cook on it for the next month. So I got the EO 1995 Red SS performer with owners manual+ the serial numbers Mach no big deal but I think it's cool. I got her cleaned up and the charcoal is ready so I'm about to cook breakfast, then figure out how to post pics for some action shots.

Nice job!...the wife will get over it as long as your cranking out the meals on it.

Another SS performer in the WKC.  My favorite model Weber - and a redhead to boot!  Congrats on landing the kettle you have been searching for and get some pics up soon!!!

Congrats Joe! It shouldn't take more than a few cooks to win your wife over. Share some pics with us, we love new kettle additions.

Through the miracle of time I cooked some bacon cups! I over cooked the eggs, need more practice controlling the temp.
