Coming out party for my Seville cart
« on: March 30, 2014, 12:19:09 PM »
I polished up this old three wheeler for the unveiling of my four wheeler Seville.  Finally finished.

Here is where my cart lived for the Winter.  My wife was not happy!

I'll post the finished pictures later this evening.   SO EXCITED!

Just trying to be a tease! 8)

This was the condition when I bought it:

Rust was setting in everywhere . .

Well here is my completed Seville.

Getting the new rubber tires on was nearly impossible, until I boiled the rubber to soften to a rubber band state.

I suspended the non-original 1960's Kettle in a hammock of chain, and created a 1/4 inch gap all the way around.  not sure if the kettle is sitting up to high, but I love it where it is.

Thanks for looking!

Oh, and thanks for the flax seed oil trick.   Look what it did:

Very cool.  That kettle really looks like it got it's color back.  Have you fired it yet?  I'm curious to see how it holds up to heat.

Beef, are those rubber treads painted white when you bought them?
