Performer Platinum Re-Boxing
« on: March 22, 2014, 12:32:08 PM »
Do any of you have any step by step photos of an unboxing of a Weber Performer. I
had a few pics and have an idea of the finished product but fitting all this together
is like a jigsaw puzzle. Any help would be great. I need to get this thing
properly packaged for pickup by UPS by Monday.

What year?  Maybe go the Weber site and download the installation manual. It may show how they packed it.
Short of that, common sense would have to prevail.  Just be sure to protect the Porcelain from getting damaged. Do you have the original box, packing materials?

It's a 2014 and the big problem I am having is positioning the main frame bars.

I know the frame bars are the first thing in the box. They can lay on the bottom, opposite one another. Bowl and lid upside down, inside one another, cardboard in between on top of the frame.

Here's a video where they guy gives a pretty good shot of how one is packed. See how the frame pics are angled towards the bottom of the box.

I will try this technique, my main concern is I want to send it back as I received it. That
way no damage or anything can occur. Thanks for the video
