I'm super jealous that I couldn't make it, but I'd like to thank all involved for being so freaking awesome.
Especially Winz for allowing people to come to his home, and buckie for cooking, and Lawrence for documenting everything (even though he bought a kamado)

Post of the year right there! Thanks to Winz for sharing the adventure, and making us all feel like we own a little piece of this amazing kettle.

Nice! That would have been cool to see in person.  And Winz wins with the nice house, view, table setting and oh yeah, cooking on the Westerner.  She's a looker and a cooker.  Plus, 1Buckie cookin' it up.  Nice one all around.

Absolutely awesome guys!!  Couple of my bucket list items there. Cooking on a rare Weber grill and cooking with Buckie. I'd love to be able to just lift the lid on the Westerner and turn a steak or two. Fantastic!!

very, very cool. That's what it's all about! Nice job documenting it...

Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

To me this was a once in a life time experience. It's just like we all knew each other for a long time. Thank you so much Winz for having us. Great hospitality and company. Hope we can have the meet up happen in Napa. Can't wait.

Just awesome! Winz, thanks for sharing. What great documentation of a first cook, on a classic Westerner.

Great job guys.  Amazing day.  Steaks looked perfect as did the whole afternoon.

Thanks to Winz & Mirkwood & Gummi & ArgentFlame....... ;D

Everyone was unique, but still fit right in like they were born to this kind of experience !!!

Even Winz's wonderful wife who was elsewhere most of the time & came home late in the game, made introductions quickly & instantly melted into the conversation which, driving home thinking about it, was very wide ranging......far beyond just grills & grilling......cameras, art, food, fun times, special days, life stories & more !!!!

The KETTLE is really something.....a very few minor chips & dings, a slight round problem you can see how it happened.....someone banged into the side of the bowl & the porcelain is barely even touched !!!!!
Really not built like a kettle of today or even a few years ago.....the coating is unlike anything I've ever seen.......a KETTLE that SHOULD be 26-3/4".....a very rare bird indeed !!!!

Favorite photo, aside from the KETTLE itself, is the one with the sign.............Argent thought that up & Mirk & I jumped on the idea !!!!
Yeah, yeah....."Wish you were HERE !!!!"

Not only a gentle razz, but actually a special thought for you all !!!!

We really did "Wish you were there !!!"
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!
"But the ever versatile kettle reigned supreme"

We all kinda were.
The way it read and the pictures with that setting put a smile across my face as I read further into the gathering. It was a wonderful experience for you guys that were there and for us reading all about it. For that we all thank you for sharing.
