G$ sent me a link to an estate sale that had a RedHead Master Touch for sale with rotisserie ring.

Called and found out you have to get there early and get a number and they let you in in order.

Got there early this morning and got a low number and scored a very dirty P code Red MT with a complete Rotti assy.

Got to the grill just ahead of one of our new members from out of town.

Sorry Dale, If you need something to cook on while you are in town, I got a spare black OTS you can have.

More pics to follow.

Should look great next to my Red Genesis and Red SS Performer.

Nice score.  Looks like it will clean up nice.

This thing is gonna take a lot of work to get into shape.

Sweep is welded solid. Legs fall out whenever you move it.

Paint is in decent shape so it will clean up.

More "Before" pics.

These Rotisseries are different. I will try to get side by side pics.

Very nice score!

That should clean up no problem.
Have you sprayed anything on the sweepers to help free them up?
Unless they look like toast, then don't bother. Order new ones from ereplace.
I have done that twice with no issues.
Bowl and lid appear to be in fine shape ... Handles, too!
0000 steel wool, and some hot water / dishsoap mixture ... get scrubbing - she will shine!  :D
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

That's a prime specimen that won't need much work. I can't wait to see it cleaned up!

Those handles are in great shape!

So glad you got to meet a member there, though it's too bad one of you went home empty-handed.

Mountains of something built up in the bowl.

Took a fair bit of scraping but I freed up the sweep.

Broke out my new power washer and went to town.

The only real problem with the porcelain is near one of the leg sockets. I think it took a tumble as the lid bail bracket was bent.

More "rubbing it in". The thumb screw was loose and came right off by hand.

I'm thinking this one is not going to get a full restore like my Performer.

It's going to be cooking right away.

Shit, that's in great shape........it's just been a little neglected. It's going to take some elbow grease, but it should look good as new if you put in the time. That's an excellent score!

This is the Rotisserie I scored with my SS Performer.

The thing really changes colors when it gets up to temp.

Found out this thing has different coal baskets than I have seen before.

I like them a lot. They take up all the space up to the grill grate.

I used one full of Kingsford and wood chunks with 12 lit on top to cook two racks of baby backs and didn't have to add coal.

They hold almost twice as much as the others.

Now I got to find some more.

" They take up all the space up to the grill grate"

That's a novel idea..........wonder why they're not all like that?
