I had been trying to coordinate the pickup of a Craigslist 26er for a few weeks now, and finally managed to make that happen today. The seller was a really nice guy, even invited me in for a frosty beverage. He also tossed in 2 bags of kingsford blue, a charcoal caddy, a Weber chimney, 2 bags of wood chips, a brand new spare cover, a propane torch, a clip on tool holder, and all of his grilling utensils.

It's not a grill, it's a fricken spaceship!

The extra goodies

Also, earlier today, my good buddy texted me with a pic of this and asking if I wanted it

1998ish 3-wheeler.......Of course I do  :)
It was on a job site he was working on and heading to the dumpster. It is now safely in his van and will make its way to my place shortly. It's a little rough.....no grates, top vent is a little bent....I'll know more once I see it first hand. He said there was no rust or chips, so it should clean up nicely. Not bad for a rainy/snowy day in central PA

If it's a weber, I can't pass on it. That's my sickness! I hope I am never cured.

Why was he selling every piece of his grilling stuff? Did he have to quit BBQ cold turkey?!.. :o

Unfortunately it was due to a divorce.  The wife moved out, house was up for sale, and he was downsizing. He was happy that it was going to a good home.

That's badass! Problem is you will find yourself cooking more on the 26 than anything else. At lease I do. If that's even a problem. If I had to start over I'd only have a 26r. It's so much easier to do an indirect cook.

Awesome score! ...and bonus goodies! Well done.

OoPezoO-
Nice spaceship!   Those modern 26ers are basically a giant master-touch.

Well done!
Interested in ANY offset handle SJs you may have.

THAT, was a nice haul.  I haven't used mine much, but really like it.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

My buddy dropped off the dumpster rescued 3-wheeler on Thursday. I didn't have time to mess with it until this morning. Looks like a good save.  The previous owners apparently used it as their outdoor fire pit, so it's missing both grates.  Other than that, it's solid. A few scrapes and cracks in the porcelain, but in overall fine shape. I probably won't give it a good cleaning till spring, but it will make a excellent cooker

Looks like it was dropped on the front leg at one point

It fits right in......wife won't even notice ;D
