When I saw that I knew I had to act fast. Now I have to clean this thing. The guy told me that he has had it for 5 years and it looks like he has never cleaned it. There were sections on the bottom grate that had grown together from grease/carbon build up. The main body section is coated with the same carbon seasoning. If this were all my mess I might not bother but I have an issue with tasting another mans flavors.
I picked up some industrial Easy-off, 2 plastic scraper trowels, and 0000 steel wool. Gonna get to work this weekend.
I'm ready to make some killer ribs and make the wife forget about the kettle-crowded patio space.
Now I have to hold out for a blue master touch or a Simpsons 22. Or an old 26'r. Or a legless tabbed kettle to drop into seville. Or a .... Or a ... Or.... ahh crap.
