Picked up some fruit tonight
« on: October 28, 2013, 06:32:37 PM »
My $30.00 score in charlotte. I emailed him just after it was posted last night and called this morning to secure it. When I went to pick it up tonight, he said he was surprised he was getting so many calls and emails for this. I hope I have time this weekend to clean her up. Over all it's it great shape, for the age. Pat pending vent, so I don't know what year it actually is, any guesses?

If it's pat pend, it's from the late 60's or very early 70's ....nice one.....

Awesome score! Congrats. Did he ask you if they are rare? Must have been an older person, looking at the front leg.

Pioneer, I figured you were one of the callers, he said one guy said he had an 18 inch and would love to have this 22 to go with it. He couldn't understand why he would want another grill, to match, HAHAHA. Then he says is this a 22, he had no clue what he had.

glrasmussen, no he didn't ask if they were rare, just surprised he had so much interest in it. I told him I see them around for sale from time to time. He was probrobly in his early forties, I know what you mean about the leg end and thinking that.

Thanks Craig and Hogsy, He was getting rid of it because he got a gasser, all the vents work great and just a couple minor nicks.

Imagine if we all went 40+ years without a nick. :o Again, looks awesome. For as much as he may have used this grill,
I would look for his gasser in 40, as long as it isn't one made in China...If so, it will be worthless in three.

Golly
